Sending events to other people

To send events to other people using DocketCalendar, you will need to utilize the sharing functionalities of Google Calendar or Outlook, depending on which service you are using. Here's how you can share events for each:

For Google Calendar Users:

  1. Access Your Google Contacts: A list of people in your Google contacts will be displayed in a dropdown list.
  2. Select People to Share With: Scroll down the list or use the type search to locate the people you want to share the calendar with and then click on a name. Only people in the Google contacts listing for the account you have logged into will appear in the list.
  3. Set Permissions: Click the arrow in the permissions field to display the list of sharing permissions available for the selected person and choose "Make changes to events". If you want the selected person to be able to change sharing permissions for the calendar, select "Make changes and manage sharing".
  4. Send the Invitation: Once you are done, click the send button. The Master Calendar will receive a notification.

For Outlook Users:

  1. Share Your Outlook Calendar: Click on the "Share Calendar" icon in the home menu of your Outlook calendar (for Outlook Desktop). For Outlook Web, click on the three dots next to the calendar in the calendar view and select "Sharing and permissions".
  2. Add Contacts: Select the contact you want to share your calendar with. Click the "Add" button, then pick from your address book to send an invitation to share your calendar.
  3. Set Permissions: Once you add the contact to the list of shared calendar contacts, you can change the permission level to "Can Edit". Only people in your Outlook contacts listing for the account you have logged into will appear in the list.

These steps will allow you to effectively share events with other people, ensuring that your team or clients are up to date with all necessary deadlines and appointments.
